BID ON THE-SALEROOM
A mid 19th century gold shell cameo brooch. The oval-shape shell cameo carved to depict a bacchante, with high relief vine detail, to the floral engraved surround. Length 6.2cms. Weight 28.9gms.
Overall condition good. Surface scratches and minor discolouration in keeping with general wear and age. Base metal replacement pin. Cameo in good condition. Small amounts of dirt to a few recessed areas. Safety chain possible later addition. Please see the Important Notices for Purchasers for coloured gemstones.
