A mid 19th century gold gem-set basket vinaigrette. The foil-back garnet, turquoise cabochon and purple gem foliate lid, with grapevine detail and rope-twist handle, opening to reveal an oval grille, to the foliate base with turquoise accents and oval-shape foil-back amethyst seal. Length 2.4cms. Weight 7.1gms.
Overall condition good. Light surface scratches and discolouration in keeping with age and general wear. Gemstones with minor surface abrasions.
