BID ON THE-SALEROOM
A mid 19th century emerald and diamond jewellery component. The rectangular-shape emerald collet, with old-cut diamond marquise-shape sides and rectangular-shape emerald and old-cut diamond collet highlights. Estimated total diamond weight 0.45ct. Length 3cms. Weight 2.8gms.
Overall condition fair to good. Surface scratches and minor discolouration in keeping with general wear and age. Emerald shows moderate scratches and nibbles to facets. Diamonds in good to fair condition with minor scratches and nibbles to facet edges. Light and dark coloured inclusions can be seen without magnification. Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate and full colour and clarity assessment. Please see important notices for purchasers in our catalogue and online for coloured gemstones.
