A matched pair of Art Nouveau silver mounted photograph frames, each of rectangular form and decorated with sinuous tendril and foliate motifs against a beaded ground, wood frame missing easel back and glass. Hallmarked Chester 1908 and 1910, maker's mark partly distorted but likely Joseph & Richard Griffin. Height measuring 12 inches (30.5 cm).
Both frames display general wear, surface scratches, marks and tarnishing. Both are in need of attention with numerous dints, holes and creases in the metal, also some splits. On one of the frames, part of a top corner edge is missing. Missing glass and easel backs. The hallmarks are clear and legible, makers marks partly distorted.
