A late Victorian small silver box of oblong form, ornately embossed with floral and foliate scrolls and initial engraving to the hinged lid, hallmarked Henry Matthews, Birmingham 1896, length measuring 8 cm. Together with an Edwardian circular pill box with floral scroll engraving to the lid, hallmarked Birmingham 1903. Combined weight 58.7 grams. (2).
Both boxes display some general wear, surface scratches, marks and tarnishing in keeping with their age and use. Would benefit from a clean and polish, especially the oblong box. Some surface dints and bumps to both. Hinged lid of oblong box appears in working order, however it does not close completely as there is a gap remaining. Some rubbing to hallmarks and maker's marks, especially on the pill box. Mostly legible.
