A late Victorian silver pomander/oil burner, the detachable spherical pomander with star cut decoration raised on a triform base supporting a central burner and raised on three paw terminals and ball feet. Hallmarked Samuel Boyce (or Boaz) Landeck, Sheffield import 1896, alongside French assay marks. Height measuring 5 ¥ inches (14.5 cm), weight 7.3 ozt (228 grams).
The lot displays general scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Numerous dents to pomander. Hallmarks clear and legible.
