A late Victorian silver mounted photograph frame with easel back, the shaped rectangular form with arched top and ornately embossed with flowers and scrolling foliage, hallmarked Birmingham 1892, maximum height measuring 7 1/8 inches (18 cm). Together with a similarly decorated Edwardian silver mounted photograph frame of square form, hallmarked Birmingham 1904, measuring 6 1/2 inches (16.5 cm) square. (2).
Both frames appear in a heavily tarnished state and display general wear, surface scratches and marks. Also some dints and small splits, especially around the edges. Mounts are also lifting in some areas. The material backing to both frames is worn and faded and the easel parts are loose and require attention. The hallmarks are a little rubbed and hidden in the decoration but are mostly legible.
