BID ON THE-SALEROOM
A late Victorian silver and gold diamond and gem-set love birds brooch. Designed as an old-cut diamond heart, with a pair of old-cut diamond doves, with ruby eye accents, suspending a seed pearl. Estimated total diamond weight 1.25cts. Length 4.2cms. Weight 5.6gms.
Overall condition good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear. Possible minor alterations/repairs. Diamonds well matched. Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment. Rubies a well matched slightly pinkish red hue. Rubies in fair condition with moderate abrasions. abrasions. Seed pearls untested for natural origin. Seed pearls well matched. Please see the Important Notices for Purchasers for coloured gemstones.
