A late Victorian gold hand painted miniature memorial pendant with split pearls. Of oval outline, the glazed painted panel depicting the portrait of a man in ceremonial military dress, with glasses and a white moustache, with split pearls to the surround and a glazed panel containing a lock of blond hair to the reverse. Length 4.5cms. Weight 11.2gms.
The condition of this lot is good to fair. There is a chip to one side and scratches to both glass surfaces. Split pearls are well matched and white-cream in colour, with good nacre surface. A few strands of hair are sticking out from the glass edge. Condition reports are offered as a guide only and we highly recommend inspecting any lot to satisfy yourself as to its condition.
