A late Victorian 9ct gold opal and diamond dress ring. Of marquise-shape outline, the graduated circular opal cabochon line, within a rose-cut diamond surround. Two stones deficient. Hallmarks for Birmingham, 1894. Weight 3.2gms.
Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear. Band shows evidence of resize/possible replacement, slight discolouration to shoulders. Cut and setting of rose-cut diamonds prevents total carat weight estimation. Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment. Stones in good condition with minor abrasions. Ring size N 1/2. Please see the Important Notices for Purchasers for coloured gemstones. Condition reports are offered as a guide only and we highly recommend inspecting any lot to satisfy yourself as to its condition.
