A late Victorian 18ct gold sapphire and diamond three-stone ring. The cushion-shape sapphire and old-cut diamond sides, with diamond point spacers, scrolling gallery and plain band. Estimated total diamond weight 1ct, H-I colour, VS2-SI1 clarity. Hallmarks for Birmingham, 1894. Weight 5.1gms.
Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear. Band shows slight evidence of repair/ resize. Diamonds fairly well matched. One diamond appears slightly pinkish, believed due to cut and setting. One diamond with small nick. Claws appear re-tipped/replacement. Sapphire is a dark slightly greenish blue hue, with colour zoning visible, window effect through the centre of the gem. Stones in good condition with minor abrasions. Ring size U 1/2.
