BID ON THE-SALEROOM
A late Victorian 18ct gold diamond five-stone ring. The graduated old-cut diamond line, within an elongated claw-setting and tapered band. Estimated total diamond weight 1.05cts, J-tinted colour, SI-P1 clarity. Hallmarks for London, 1897. Weight 3.2gms
Overall condition good. Minor surface scratches/wear in keeping with general age and wear. Would recommend attention to all settings as some claws deficient/worn. Some areas of the setting show repair, may require further attention. Diamond fairly well matched. Diamonds fairly bright. diamonds have a yellow tint. one diamond has a surface reaching inclusion natural light and dark inlcusions can be seen Stones in poor condition with significant abrasion, chips and nibbles to the girdle and facet edges.
