A late Victorian 15ct gold ruby and split pearl ring and a foil-back and seed pearl foliate brooch. The first set with a circular-shape ruby within a seed pearl foliate surround, the second set with a foil-back topaz with seed pearl petals. The first with hallmarks for Chester, 1886. Length of brooch 3.3cms. Total weight 6.8gms.
Overall condition fair. Surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and dents in keeping with general age and wear. Ruby medium hue, with moderate clarity and typical inclusions. Water damage to foil-back topaz. Seed pearls to ring are very damaged. Several are also missing. Stones in good condition with minor abrasions. Ring size M.
