A late George III silver bowl of circular form, crest engraved and decorated with four raised oval panels depicting classical figures, above a fluted lower body and spread circular foot with beaded rim. Hallmarked London 1818, indistinct maker's mark. Height measures 3 3/4 inches (9.5 cm), weight 9.92 ozt (308.7 grams).
The bowl displays some general wear, surface scratches, marks and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Minor dints and heavier contact marks and nicks to some areas, especially the bowl interior. Some flattening and loss of detail to the oval panels. The hallmarks appear a little rubbed but are still clearly legible.
