BID ON THE-SALEROOM
A late 19th century silver and gold diamond and gem-set bird brooch. Designed to depict a duck in flight, set throughout with old and rose-cut diamonds, to the red-gem eye detail. Estimated total old-cut diamond weight 1cts. Length 4.8cms. Weight 7.8gms.
Overall condition good. Minor surface scratches/wear in keeping with general age and wear. All settings will need attention. Diamond fairly well matched. Diamonds fairly bright. Estimated total diamond weight under 0.10ct. Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment. Base metal pin.
