A late 19th century silver and 18ct gold ruby, opal and diamond crescent brooch. The old-cut diamond crescent, with oval opal highlights, to the alternating circular-shape ruby and opal fringe. Length 4.5cms. Weight 5.1gms.
Overall condition good. Minor surface scratches/wear in keeping with general age and wear. Registration mark, RD2195316. Diamond fairly well matched. Diamonds fairly bright. Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment. Opals well matched with play-of-colour visible. Rubies well matched with red to orange red hue moderate clarity and typical inclusions.
