A late 19th century ruby, sapphire and diamond brooch. Of parallelogram outline, the old-cut diamond, with cushion shape ruby and sapphire sides, to the bar terminals. Estimated diamond weight 0.35ct, H-I colour, P2 clarity. Length 5.8cms. Weight 7.3gms.
Overall condition good. Minor surface scratches in keeping with general age and wear. Diamonds bright. Sapphire medium purplish-blue, well saturated, with good clarity and typical inclusions. Rubies medium pinkish-red, well saturated, with good clarity and typical inclusions. Stones in good condition with minor abrasions.
