A late 19th century rolled gold swivel cameo brooch. Of oval outline, the shell cameo carved to depict an outdoor scene of ladies dancing, within a further plain mount with applied scroll panel detail, to the vacant panel reverse. Glass panel reverse cracked. Length 6.3cms.
Overall fair condition, with light to moderate surface scratches and tarnishing from general wear. The detail to the carving does show wear. The upper applied scroll panel to the outside mount is missing a central circular section and pin. The glass to the reverse has multiple cracks across it. The pin is a replacement. The cameo has possibly been later added to the mount. Weight 30.8gms.
