BID ON THE-SALEROOM
A late 19th century hardstone fob seal. The octagonal-shape agate intaglio, depicting a griffin and initial monogram, to the scrolling openwork surmount. Length 4.3cms. Weight 17gms.
Overall condition good. Minor surface scratches/wear in keeping with general age and wear. Agate panel has a few minor nibbles to edges. Small areas of soft solder visible to bead accents and pedestal. Condition reports are offered as a guide only and we highly recommend inspecting any lot to satisfy yourself as to its condition.
