- Lot Description
BID ON THE-SALEROOM
A late 19th century gold, split pearl, diamond and enamel buckle brooch. Designed as a split pearl line, with blue enamel and rose-cut diamond surround. Length 2.3cms. Weight 5.8gms.
Overall condition good. Surface scratches and discolouration in keeping with general age and wear. Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment. Cut and setting of rose-cut diamonds prevents total carat weight estimation. The diamonds are fairly bright, some with light nibbles and chips. One diamond is a replacement. The enamel has small chipped areas. The pearls have slight nacre damage. Please see the Important Notices for Purchasers in our catalogue and online for coloured gemstones.
