A late 19th century gold garnet and diamond brooch. Of circular outline, the rose-cut diamond star, to the circular garnet cabochon and grooved surmount, with tassel fringe. Length 6.2cms. Weight 10.3gms.
Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear. Diamond is bright. Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment. Cut and setting of rose-cut diamonds prevents total carat weight estimation medium red well saturated, with good clarity and typical inclusions. Stones in good condition with minor abrasions.
