A late 19th century gold brooch and locket. To include a portrait miniature brooch, the ceramic panel depicting a young boy in period dress within a bead and rope-twist surround, together with an enamel and split pearl locket pendant. Length 2.5 and 3.2cms. Weight 11gms.
Overall condition poor. Significant scratches, discolouration and dents in keeping with general age and wear. Localised areas of discolouration and scratches. Beading on the brooch surround is worn in some areas and deficient in others. Enamel on locket is worn and missing in some areas. Stones in poor condition with significant abrasion, chips and nibbles to the girdle and facet edges. Locket believed to be 9ct gold front and back not solid.
