A late 19th century gold and silver diamond dress ring. The old-cut diamond, within a rose-cut diamond square-shape surround, to the foliate shoulders and tapered band. Principal diamond estimated weight 0.75ct, I-J colour, SI clarity. Weight 12.5gms.
Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear. Possible replacement central diamond. Scratches and areas of wear to the settings and detail. Principal diamond is drawing some yellow, this is a small chip to one facet edge. Outer diamonds fairly well matched. Outer diamonds fairly bright. Cut and setting of rose-cut diamonds prevents total carat weight estimation. Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.
