A late 19th century diamond and enamel mourning ring. The old-cut diamond within a square-shape black enamel surround, to the old-cut diamond similarly-set stepped sides and plain band. Estimated total diamond weight 0.25ct. Weight 3.6gms.
Overall condition good. Minor surface scratches in keeping with general age and wear. Band slightly out of shape and has worn quite thin. Band shows evidence of a resize. The black enamel shows signs of surfaces scratches and chips in places. Individual size and setting of the smaller outer diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment. The diamonds are well matched and bright, some with minor nibbles along the facet edges.
