A late 19th century 18ct gold split pearl brooch. The split pearl cluster, to the oval and foliate panel, with split pearl, shell motif and scroll surround. Length 3.7cms. Weight 7.9gms.
Overall condition good. Minor surface scratches/wear in keeping with general age and wear. Some areas of border detail are bent out of shape. Areas of tarnishing and discolouration in places. Split pearls fairly well matched, significant blisters and blemishes to some. Replacement pin and catch. Possibly made into a brooch at a later date. The two terminal ends do not match, with differing scrolling patterns.
