A late 18th century gold portrait miniature ring. The oval-shape panel painted to depict a woman in period dress, beneath glass, to the bi-colour openwork shoulders and grooved band. Ring size N 1/2. Weight 3.5gms.
Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear. Possible marks or remains of personal inscription to inside of band, worn illegible, indistinct. Moderate abrasion to glass. Length of portrait mount 1.6cms.
