BID ON THE-SALEROOM
A late 18th century gold memorial clasp. Of marquise-shape outline, depicting a pair of doves in flight, to the ornate seed pearl dove cage on an iridescent blue backing, within a guilloche enamel and split pearl border. Woven hair panel to reverse. Length 3.8cms. Weight 12.7gms. With associated case.
Overall condition good. Minor surface scratches in keeping with age. Enamel in good condition. Seed pearls with light nacre damage. Clasp in working order.
