A hardstone cameo, split pearl and red-gem pendant. The hardstone cameo depicting a lady in profile, within a late 19th century gold scrolling surmount, with split pearl, red-gem and black enamel detail. Length 7.1cms. Weight 41.8gms.
Overall condition good to fair. Surface scratches and dents in keeping with general age and wear. Areas to the back of the frame have worn thin/away. Small areas of soft solder repair. Small areas of black enamel deficient/worn. Cameo with light surface scratches. Two split pearls deficient. Pearls with typical surface blemishes and light nacre damage. The red gems have light surface scratches and nibbles to the facet edges. One significantly chipped. One tests as ruby.
