A George IV 18ct gold sapphire, split pearl and enamel ring. The foil-back sapphire and split pearl cluster, to the scrolling black enamel shoulders. Personal engraving to reverse reads Mary Harriott Flower Obt 14 May 1830 aged 21. Hallmarks for London, 1829. Ring size L. Weight 4.1gms.
Overall condition fair to good. Surface scratches in keeping with general age and wear. Enamel heavily worn and deficient in areas. Sapphire setting worn. The sapphire has light surface scratches and nibbles to the facet edges. Heavier abrasion to the girdle on one side. Minor nacre damage to split pearls.
