A George III silver teapot, the oblong form initialled and crested with wide fluted corners and engraved punch-work borders. Hallmarked Thomas Wallis II, London 1799. Maximum height measuring 6 inches (15 cm), weight 13.4 ozt (417 grams).
The teapot appears quite worn, alongside general scratches, marks wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Engraving and crest worn. Splits to spout opening. Minor dints. Solder repairs to base. Replacement finial. The hallmarks are clear and legible.
