BID ON THE-SALEROOM
A George III silver helmet jug, the classic form with engraved floral and foliate borders, engraved cartouche, beaded rim and standing on a square footed base. Hallmarked London 1792, with the maker's mark GC. Height measuring 5 1/2 inches (14 cm), weight 3.4 ozt (106 grams).
The lot displays general scratches, marks wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Noticeably wobbles and appears lopsided. Repair to corner of base. Hallmarks somewhat distorted. - Shipping Info
