A George I silver porringer, the typical form with fluted lower body rising to the foliate scroll surround to the vacant oval cartouche and embossed girdle and twin scrolling handles. Hallmarked London 1719, the maker possibly Richard Green. Height measuring 4 inches (10 cm),weight 7 ozt (221 grams).
The lot displays general scratches, marks wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Rubbing with loss of definition. Solder runs and repairs to join of handles. Initial engraving to the underside. Hallmarks worn. Dints and dents. - Shipping Info
