A gentleman's early 20th century 18ct gold opal ring. The oval opal cabochon, within an extended claw setting, to the tapered band. Hallmarks for Birmingham, 1919. Weight 6.6gms.
Overall condition fair. Surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and dents in keeping with general age and wear. Opal pale body colour with patches of play-of-colour throughout displaying red, orange, green and yellow colours. Stones in fair condition with some abrasion and minor nibbles to the girdle and facet edges. Ring size Q 1/2.
