BID ON THE-SALEROOM
A garnet and diamond pendant. The oval and pear-shape foil-back garnet cabochons, with rose-cut diamond openwork scroll accents, suspending a similarly-set diamond tapered drop, to the rose-cut diamond surmount and fancy-link chain. Length of pendant 7.2cms. Length of chain 57cms. Weight 19.4gms.
Overall condition good. Surface scratches and minor discolouration to setting in keeping with general wear. Pendant comprised of 19th century components. Individual size and closed back setting of rose-cut diamonds prevents accurate and full colour, clarity and weight assessment. One of the garnet cabochons with glazed panel to reverse.
