A garnet and diamond pendant. The heart-shape garnet, within a rose-cut diamond surround, to the blue gem quatrefoil and rose-cut diamond floral surmount. Length 3.8cms.
Overall condition fair. Surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and dents in keeping with general age and wear. Significant soft solder visible to the reverse of the pendant. where the piece appears to have been put together from various different components. Cut and setting of rose-cut diamonds prevents total carat weight estimation. Diamond fairly well matched. Diamonds fairly bright. Chips visible to many rose-cut diamonds. The garnet does not fit the collet and there is visible gapping. The stone is a replacement. Garnet medium pinkish purple, fairly well saturated, with fair clarity and typical inclusions. Stone in fair condition with abrasion and nibbles to the girdle and facet edges. Please see the Important Notices for Purchasers for coloured gemstones.
