BID ON THE-SALEROOM
A foil-back garnet brooch. Of openwork design, the vari-shape foil-back garnet and scrolling foliate panel, suspending a pear-shape foil-back garnet fringe and drops. Length 6.1cms.
Overall condition fair. Surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and dents in keeping with general age and wear. Drops and fringe replacements. Replacement fittings. Gems appear replacements/re-foiled. Garnets appear a well matched deep red hue. Stones in good condition with minor abrasions, one drop with noticeable small chip.
