BID ON THE-SALEROOM
A diamond and ruby brooch. Designed as three baguette-cut diamond overlapping lines, with tapered baguette-cut diamond and pear-shape ruby curved line sides. Estimated total diamond weight 3-4cts. Length 8.6cms. Weight 23.5gms.
Overall condition good. Minor surface scratches/wear in keeping with general age and wear. Diamond fairly well matched. Diamonds fairly bright. Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment. Rubies medium red to purplish red, fairly well saturated, with moderate clarity and typical inclusions. Stones in fair condition with some abrasion and minor nibbles to the girdle and facet edges. Please see the Important Notices for Purchasers for coloured gemstones. Platinum hallmarks for Birmingham to one of the tapered terminals. Solder line to this section.
