BID ON THE-SALEROOM
A cultured pearl and diamond pendant. The openwork scrolling panel, set throughout with old and rose-cut diamonds, suspending a cultured pearl, to the old-cut diamond trefoil surmount and fine-link chain. Estimated total old-cut diamond weight 2.35cts. Length of pendant 4.9cms. Length of chain 42cms. Weight 13.1gms.
Overall condition good. Minor surface scratches in keeping with general wear. Cut and setting of rose-cut diamonds prevents total carat weight estimation. Diamonds fairly well matched for colour and clarity. Diamonds bright and lively. Light and dark coloured inclusions can be seen with the naked eye, some of which are surface reaching. Diamonds in mostly good condition with minor abrasions, some have small chips and nibble to the facet edges. Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate and full colour and clarity assessment. Cultured pearl, silvery grey, with green and purple overtones and good lustre. Cultured pearl in good condition with some minor surface abrasion. Chain stamped near clasp 750. Please see the Important Notices for Purchasers for coloured gemstones.
