A cultured pearl and diamond pendant. The baroque cultured pearl and rose-cut diamond drop, within a rose-cut diamond floral garland and bow surmount, with cultured pearl and rose cut diamond drop, suspended from a trace-link chain. Length of pendant 4.5cms. Length of chain 44cms. Weight 4.3gms.
Overall condition good to fair. Surface scratches and discolouration in keeping with general wear. Traces of adhesive can be seen to reverse of each pearl. Cultured pearls vary in shape size and colour. Cultured pearls white and creamy-white, with slight pink overtones, and fair to muted lustre. Cultured pearls in good to fair condition with some abrasion. Cut and setting of rose-cut diamonds prevents total carat weight estimation. Diamonds well matched. Diamonds fairly bright. Light and dark coloured inclusions can be seen with magnification. Diamonds in good condition with minor abrasions. Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate and full colour and clarity assessment. Without the aid of laboratory equipment, it has not been possible to determine if these cultured pearls are from a fresh or saltwater source.
