A cat's-eye chrysoberyl and diamond cluster ring. The circular cat's-eye chrysoberyl cabochon, within an old-cut diamond surround, to the trifurcated shoulders and plain band. One diamond deficient. Estimated total diamond weight 0.35ct. Weight 3.8gms.
Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear. Band slightly out of shape. Band shows obvious pitting and porous marks, evidenbce of re-sizing and a crack is apparent to one side, attention required. Chrysoberyl slightly brownish-yellow, well saturated, with fairly good chatoyancy, showing a straight cat's eye effect. Diamonds well matched. Diamonds bright. Small light and dark inclusions can be seen easily to some diamonds under 10X magnification. Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment. Stones in good to fair condition with minor abrasions, some diamonds show small chips to the facet edges, the chrysoberyl has some abrasion and small scuffs. Approximate ring size I.
