A cased 1970's silver dish commemorating the bi-centenary of the Birmingham Assay Office 1773-1973, having central engraved profile portrait of Matthew Boulton within lobed and gadrooned rim. Hallmarked Joseph Gloster Ltd., Birmingham 1973, and numbered 67 verso. Diameter measures 9 inches (23 cm), weight 11.98 ozt (372.6 grams).
Displaying heavy tarnishing particularly to rim otherwise in fair condition. Engraving and hallmarks all clear and legible. - Shipping Info
