A Burmese ruby and diamond cluster ring. The oval-shape ruby, within a circular-cut diamond surround, to the curved detail shoulders. Accompanied by report number 5776-4324, dated 18th January 2016, from Gemmological Certification Services, stating the ruby is Burma origin with no indications of heating. Estimated total diamond weight 0.90ct. Ring size N. Weight 4.6gms.
Overall condition good. Surface scratches in keeping with general age and wear. Band shows evidence of a resize. The ruby is a medium slightly pinkish-red hue, well saturated, with light surface scratches and nibbles to the facet edges. The ruby has localised off-centre abraded areas visible with magnification, a small chip to the girdle, view partially obstructed by the setting. Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment. The diamonds are bright and well matched. Please see the Important Notices for Purchasers in our catalogue and online for coloured gemstones. The US prohibits the importation of items containing rubies originating in Burma. For your convenience we have applied this notice to lots which contain rubies originating in Burma, or those of indeterminate origin. Please be advised that inability of a purchaser to import any such item into the US or elsewhere will not constitute grounds for non-payment or cancellation of the sale.
