BID ON THE-SALEROOM
A Blue John 9th century urn. Of sectional form having brass acorn finial, the ovoid body of cream brown colour with sparse vertical veining, raised upon a spreading circular foot and square Ashford black marble base, 8.5 (21.5 cm) high overall. (a/f).
With significant damage and losses to base of body section, above join to foot. Damage and crude remodelling to upper rim. Displaying natural cracking throughout.
