A 1980s 18ct gold ruby and diamond necklace. The front designed as a two pear-shape ruby trefoils, to the graduated brilliant-cut diamond crossover lines and fancy-link back-chain. Estimated total diamond weight 0.50ct. Import marks for Sheffield, 1981. Length 40cms. Weight 14.2gms.
Overall condition good. Minor surface scratches/wear in keeping with general age and wear. Diamond fairly well matched. Diamonds fairly bright. Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment. Rubies medium red to purplish red, fairly well saturated, with good clarity and typical inclusions. Stones in fair condition with some abrasion and minor nibbles to the girdle and facet edges. Stamped 750. Condition reports are offered as a guide only and we highly recommend inspecting any lot to satisfy yourself as to its condition.
