A 1970s ruby and diamond brooch. The textured wreath, with ruby cabochon and twin brilliant-cut diamond highlights. Total diamond weight 0.10ct, stamped to mount. Length 3cms. Weight 8.1gms.
Overall condition good. Minor surface scratches/wear in keeping with general age and wear. Diamond fairly well matched. Diamonds fairly bright. Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment. Ruby medium red to orange red, fairly well saturated, with moderate to poor clarity and typical inclusions. Some fair hairline surface reaching cracks present. Chip to edge of ruby. Stones in fair condition with some abrasion and minor nibbles to the girdle and facet edges. Stamped 750.
