BID ON THE-SALEROOM
A 1970s 18ct gold sapphire and rock crystal brooch. Of abstract design, the free-form rock crystal, to the textured undulating wire-work frame, with circular-shape sapphire and cube detail. Hallmarks for Birmingham, 1972. Length 7cms. Weight 25.3gms.
Overall condition good. Surface scratches in keeping with general age and wear. The rock crystal has natural rough surfaces. Some areas chipped, possibly part of the design. The sapphires have light surface scratches and nibbles to the facet edges. Stamped CPT. Please see the Important Notices for Purchasers in our catalogue and online for coloured gemstones.
