BID ON THE-SALEROOM
A 1930's silver twin-handled trophy cup and cover, of tapering form with presentation engraving to one side and reeded border detail throughout, the removable lid with figural surmount modelled as a cricketer. Hallmarked Barker Brothers Silver Ltd., Birmingham 1936. Maximum height to finial measures 13 inches (33 cm), weight 29.39 ozt (914 grams). '1938 Presented by John Storr Redman, John Joule & Sons Ltd for the Stone Brewery Cricket Club Annual Departmental Competition.'
The trophy appears in a heavily tarnished state all over and in need of a clean and polish. It displays some general wear, surface scratches and marks and some minor dints. The hallmarks are clear and legible, maker's mark partly distorted but still legible. - Shipping Info
