A 1930's silver three piece tea service comprising teapot, cream jug and twin-handled sugar bowl, each of plain and bulbous oblong form to a footed base, stained wood handle to the teapot and conforming shape finial to the lid. Hallmarked The Usher Manufacturing Co (Charles Usher), Birmingham 1932. Maximum teapot length measures 11 1/4 inches (28.5 cm), gross weight 31.71 ozt (986 grams).
The tea service appears in fairly good overall condition, displaying general wear including surface scratches, marks and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Some small dints and bumps visible. Hinged lid appears in working order. Residues of polish are visible. Hallmarks appear quite worn in places, especially on the cream jug, but are mainly legible.
