BID ON THE-SALEROOM
A 1930's silver mounted and enamel part dressing table set, comprising a pair of hair brushes, a hand mirror and a pair of clothes brushes, each decorated with bright blue guilloche enamel within a stylised foliate border. Hallmarked Adie Brothers Ltd., Birmingham 1931/32/33/34. Height of mirror measures 11 ¢ inches (29.2 cm).
All the pieces in the lot display general wear, surface marks and scratches in keeping with the age and general usage. Some tarnishing to silver mounts, also some dints and bumps. Rust visible around the fixing pins on the mirror. There are many quite deep scratches and nicks to the surface of the enamel but it is still a good bright blue colour. Brushes are in a worn and well used state. Rim chip to the bottom of the mirror plate. Some rubbing and distortion to hallmarks and maker's marks but mostly legible. No visible maker's mark to mirror. - Shipping Info
