A 1920's four piece silver and tortoiseshell mounted dressing table set, comprising two hair brushes, clothes brush and hand mirror, each of plain form having scrolling silver mounts, hallmarked Charles & Richard Comyns, London 1924, length of hand mirror measures 10 inches (25.5 cm). Together with a George V silver and tortoiseshell mounted glass vanity jar of oval form having foliate inlay to the removable cover, length measures 5 2/8 inches (13.5 cm). (5).
Dressing table set in overall poor condition with damage to tortoiseshell throughout. Hand mirror with losses to tortoiseshell and one brush with crack and distortion to handle. Each with heavy wear and scratches to surface, as well as tarnishing and rubbing to silver, with hallmarks partly worn but still legible. Vanity jar with general wear and surface scratching to glass, tortoiseshell appears in fair condition and with tarnishing to silver mount. Hallmarks with minor wear but still legible.
